*Except as authorized by local fire codes and as aircraft emergency
equipment
DO NOT bring any type of firearm into the terminal building unless
you are a law enforcement officer or you are shipping the firearm.
DO NOT bring any illegal weapons into the terminal building (i.g.
illegal knives etc.)
Please report any suspicious activity to the nearest Airport Police
Officer.
To be able to go beyond the security checkpoint you must have
a boarding pass, a ticket, or an E-ticket itinerary with an airline
ticket number. When you check-in at the airline
ticket counter, the airline representative will issue you a boarding
pass.
When you check-in, please have a government-issued photo ID ready
for verification.
When you arrive at the security checkpoint, please place the following
items in the tray: Cell phone, pager, wallet, keys, change, purse,
and anything that is metal. Then place the tray on the x-ray machine
belt. Take your laptop computer out of its case and place it on
the x-ray machine belt. Place all of your carry on luggage on the
x-ray machine belt.
What if I forgot I have a prohibited item in my pocket
or carry on?
You have several choices. You can take the item back to your vehicle.
If the item can be checked, you may proceed back to the counter
and place it into your checked baggage. You will also be allowed
to voluntarily surrender the item at the security checkpoint. If
the item is surrendered, it will be destroyed – no return
of surrendered items is possible.
Even if the metal detector does not go off, you may still need
to be searched with a hand metal detector or given a pat down search.
Open containers, including alcohol, are not permitted to pass through
the security checkpoint.
SECURITY IS NO JOKING MATTER:
While you are in the vicinity of the checkpoint, do not make any
comments regarding guns or bombs, taking these items on board the
aircraft, or hijacking the aircraft. Making inappropriate remarks
may result in a fine or arrest.
